Dear Lovett Family,

Buckle up for a long list of announcements this week as we approach the finish line of the school year on June 1st. Please read to the end because there is a lot of important information packed in here!

I hope everyone showered their teachers with lots of love last week for Teacher Appreciation Week! I want to give a BIG THANK YOU to our teacher appreciation chair, Meric Pinkerton, for honoring our teachers last Friday with a pick-up lunch from The '401, bundt cakes, Amazon gift cards and yard signs! We are indebted to our amazingly talented teachers for the fabulous school we call Lovett!

Our Last PTO meeting of the year is tomorrow, May 14th at 7pm. Tune in for updates from the administration, the PTO and to vote in the newly selected slate of PTO officers. Scroll down to for more details about logging in and to see the proposed slate of officers.

At the top of our minds is how 5th Grade Promotion will be celebrated. Please mark your calendars for May 27th. An email should be coming soon from Principal Thompson with all of the details.

Sadly, Summer Enrichment has been cancelled due to safety concerns around COVID-19. Click HERE for all of the details including how refunds will be handled.

Yearbooks are still being produced this year and are for salethanks to Dana George. The plan is to have drive-by pick up dates in the near future. Stay tuned for more info!

The administration is working on a pick-up/drop-off date to pick up personal items left at school as well as return items such as library books or classroom books. Again, stay tuned for more info.

Typically you would start seeing information about Preordering School Supplies around this time of year, but due to the uncertainty of plans for next year, we are going to delay sales until we know more. Thank you to Kate Lange for helping make this service possible the past several years by collecting supply lists from all of the teachers and coordinating with our vendors. I am willing to bet that this service will be even more highly valued as we try to limit our outings due to the Corona virus.

I hope everyone sticks with virtual learning these last few weeks of school! I know the teachers are still working hard to provide educational experiences for our kids and for that I am grateful!
