Dear Lovett Families,

I pray that you are prepared for and stay safe during the impending arrival of Hurricane Laura. I know I've spent time picking up lose items outside, buying some non-perishables and making sure we have flashlights and batteries that work.

It was great to see Principal Thompson's presentation last Thursday at the Lovett Community Meeting about what to expect with Virtual Learning. Since many emails were not transferred over in the district migration of the student database, Mrs. Thompson has created a SURVEY so that the administration can start adding emails themselves. Please complete one survey for each child you have at Lovett by August 28. Thank you!

Order your School Supplies NOW! The deadline to order in time for pick up next week is Wednesday August 26th.

I want to say "Thank you" to all of you who so generously donated School Supplies to a student in need! We are so grateful for you! If you haven't donated and want to contribute toward School Supplies or Class Fees, click HERE for more info.

Remember to pay your Class Fees! All students are required to play class fees. This covers the cost of school T-shirts and 2 classroom parties (one before winter break and one at the end of school). These parties will happen no matter where school is taking place!

Finally, the Retirement Parade for Mrs. Vlaskamp scheduled for Wednesday, August 26 has been postponed due to the hurricane forecast. Stay tuned for a new date.

Parent Course for Virtual Learning

To ensure parents and guardians are better informed, HISD has designed this course to provide an introduction to virtual learning and guidance to support your student's virtual learning experience. It is being offered in English, Spanish, Vietnamese and Arabic. Get started HERE.
