I know I’m looking forward to a little break from school and time with family. As we look back on this year and all we have to be grateful for, remember your school community and consider making a donation during these last few weeks of our Lovett Rocks with Gratitude campaign or purchasing books at our Virtual Book Fair. This week I want to give at shout out to our fabulous Room Parent Chairs – Judy Malinowski, Frances Jones and Pauline Mathiesen. They have worked hard to collect Class Fees, take orders for Class t-shirts and have spent countless hours distributing T-shirts to all of our classes. Thank you for all that you do behind the scenes to make our school a community! Room parents - We are still awaiting instructions on how we can celebrate the holidays safely, so hang in there. We will likely do the same thing across all classes/grades since we won’t be able to go on campus. Please contact roomparentchair@lovettpto.org if you have any ideas or questions! As of Monday, we reached 76% of our financial goal of $40,000 with 27% participation for the Lovett Rocks with Gratitude campaign. As I say every week, let’s get that participation number higher! No gift is too small! There are lots of needs that the PTO is trying to fill in where the budget from HISD is not sufficient. Let’s do our part! Our first Virtual Book Fair runs through November 22nd. Take advantage of getting some holiday shopping done while supporting our school library. 25% of proceeds will go directly toward buying new Scholastic books for our library! Our Lovett Rocks with Gratitude Campaign for the 2020-2021 school year is now underway. This is our annual fundraiser to help supplement the school's annual budget and provide additional resources to our teachers and school. The funds raised will be used to help make virtual learning more effective, support efforts to make face-to-face learning safer, and enhance our campus with various capital improvements. No gift is too small and we hope to have 100% family participation.

The Scholastic Book Fair is back! While the Fair is exclusively virtual this year, it is still a fun and interactive experience for our kids.
