We enjoyed a day of service in honor of MLK day Monday and picked up garbage at our neighborhood park. As my son says, “It makes me feel good to do something good for someone else!†If you missed our PTO Meeting last week, you can read the Meeting Minutes to get caught up on the latest Lovett news. Things are about to get exciting next week as our Lovett Virtual Auctiongoes live on Thursday, January 28 and most items (excluding Lovett Experiences) will be available to check out this Friday! We’ll be sending you an email with links and bidding instructions soon! Please share the auction link with friends and family! The beauty of a virtual auction is that anyone can attend! Calling all parents who enjoy networking and talking with other parents! We are forming the PTO Nominating Committee and need a parent from each grade to help us solicit nominations for the PTO Board and other key PTO positions. This committee will meet regularly (weekly or bi-weekly) until the slate of officers is created and presented to the Board on April 5th and voted on by membership at the May PTO meeting. The committee will be composed of one parent from each grade (K-4) plus a member of the Lovett staff and one outgoing board member (yours truly). Finally, take advantage of a Spirit Day this Wednesday and/or Thursday to pick-up or dine-in at Gugliani’s where a percentage of the proceeds will be donated to the PTO. They have terrific Italian food ranging from pizza to pasta to salads and more. And be sure to thank them for offering four whole days to us! Mark your calendars:
