Hello Lovett Friends!
Happy December! It’s downhill from here, right? I know it’s a busy season for a lot of families, so whatever you’ve got going on, I’m hoping it’s full-to-overflowing with joy!
Mark your calendars for Thursday, December 16 at 7:00pm. We’ll gather via Zoom for our final PTO meeting of 2021 to get some updates from around Lovett, celebrate these first months of school, and share the outline of our Spring 2022 calendar.
Lovett Rocks Fall Fundraiser Update: Because of your generosity, we raised over $16,000 this fall for Lovett playground updates. Thank you! What a gift for our school. That total fell short of our rather ambitious goal, but our Sponsorship Team has had a banner year and more than doubled their initial goal! (Thank you Scott Rose and Arienne Brint!) What that means is that altogether, our projected income for Fall 2021 is right on track and our PTO remains financially strong and healthy.
Last thing -- a whole bunch of thank yous! Volunteers drive everything that the Lovett PTO does, and I’m so grateful for everyone who works behind the scenes to make our school great. All month long, I’ll be thanking folks who have volunteered in particular ways. If you see these folks around, make sure to thank them as well! Here’s the first round:
Many, many thanks to Stefanie Trammell and Leta Coffman for planning Mom’s Club Happy Hour! Thank you, thank you to Judy Malinowski, Pauline Mathiesen, and Qianna Wilson who are Room Parent Chairs and who helped get word out for Leira Acevedo, Chong-Kai Fu, Ralena Glover, Chelsea Young, Rosie Hirschfeld, Michelle Merriweather, Lorena Silvestri, Amy Roch, LaQuita Buffone, Kelly Pitman Owens, Sarah Graur, and Megan Hill who planned and coordinated our Fall Playdates! One of our goals for this year is to build community and foster connections -- y’all are making it happen. Thank you!
