Dear Lovett Family,

I hope you are all getting outside and enjoying the last days of spring before the summer heat arrives.  There are two great excuses to get outside around lunch time this week:

Today from 12:30-1:00 pm, the Navy's Blue Angels will be flying over Houston as a part of the "America Strong" salute to Covid-19 first responders.  See flightpath map HERE.

Friday from 11:45 am-1:15 pm, the WWII era Navy Blue Angels and Air Force Thunderbirds will be flying over Houston to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day and the end of WWII in Europe.  Presented by the Lone Star Flight Museum.  See flight path map HERE.

Teacher Appreciation Week is here!  Please remember to show your teachers how much we love and appreciate them this week.  For ideas click HERE.  Also, remember to check your teacher's Wishlist (next to their name) for specific gift ideas HERE.

5th Grade Promotion is at the top of our 5th grade parents minds.  Please know that many folks are working on this and we will be making sure all of our 5th graders know how special and loved they are!  As soon as dates are set, we will be sure to share them with you.

Yearbooks are still being produced and are for sale thanks to Dana George.  The plan is to have drive-by pick up dates in the near future.  Stay tuned for more info!

For those wondering how the remaining funds for Class Parties will be used, the PTO Board has decided to gift this money to the homeroom teachers. The funds may be used for either their class room or a creative gift for their students. 

May 14th will be our last PTO Meeting of the Year.  Please plan to join us to hear from our administration about school updates and to meet your newly slated PTO Board.

I miss seeing all of you so much and can't wait until we can be back on campus again and share our smiles in person.

Summer Enrichment

Given the state of the world, we are not certain whether the Lovett Summer Enrichment program will be available or not.  That said, if if is cancelled, there will likely be a process to refund those who have already registered and paid.
