President's Message

Happy Wednesday, Lovett families!

I hope that your Halloween was just the right amount of spooky fun! I happened to drive by school during recess time last Friday, and it was a delight to see superheroes and princesses, ninjas and storybook characters all playing kickball and running around the track!

Thanks to everyone who has already made a gift to Lovett Rocks, our fall fundraising campaign. If you haven’t given yet, do it today. Just click here to give online. The money we raise will pay for upgrades and new equipment on both Lovett playgrounds. Right now, we’re still well short of our goal, so if you’re able, make your gift today and help us make a difference at Lovett!

You can also help the Lovett Student Council make a difference in our community. They are hosting a food drive this week and next to collect canned beans, canned tomatoes, canned soup, cereal, and pasta. Pick up a few items next time you’re at the store, and send them to school with your kids or drop them off at the front office.

Lovett Rocks Campaign Update

We are shouting WE LOVE LOVETT! We are focusing our efforts to complete the renovations on the playgrounds. We encourage every family to make a meaningful contribution. NO GIFT IS TOO SMALL. We are very sensitive to the continued financial stress that the COVID-19 pandemic has on our community and we appreciate each family’s gift.

Our goals are to raise $40,000 and have 100% participation from our families. Every penny helps! Find out more and donate today!

This November, Lovett PTO has some fun events planned! We invite Lovett families to come out and enjoy the great weather, meet other parents/students and grab a bite. Siblings are welcome.

All playdates are at Meyerland Park next to school, and the Happy Hour will be at Bacco on the Bayou!

The Lovett Mom's Club would like to invite our amazing moms to join us for a night of relaxation and fun getting to know other Lovett moms*.

Beautiful Minds Art Invitational

There is an artist invitational for the Health Museum for their Beautiful Minds instillation which takes a look at the connection between dyslexia and creativity.

Students will dyslexia are encouraged to share their art. Could you please share with parents? The deadline is November 12th.

Nov 29- Spirit Night at Escalantes

Take a break from the turkey and bring your family for dinner at Escalentes on Monday, November 29th and the restaurant will donate a portion of your check to the PTO.

Please present this flyer to let your cashier know you are participating in the fundraiser. We are grateful for the support of neighborhood businesses!

Dec. 11- Bellaire High School Cheer Clinic

The Bellaire High School cheerleaders are hosting a one day Cheer Clinic on Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 8:30-1:00 p.m. The Cheer Clinic is open to boys and girls, K-8th grade. Registration can be completed here.

Art Club: Sign Up Today!

Students will have the chance to explore different mediums beyod what is learned in the classroom. Art Club sessions are 3 weeks long. Sessions are open to all 1st through 5th graders with the exception of Portfolio Building. Art Club sessions are $50 each.

Updated Lovett Parent Handbook

Principal Thompson shared the recently updated Lovett Parent Handbook via Class Dojo. The handbook is always a work in progress and the administration will continue to update throughout the year.

School Store is Reopening- October 25th!

The School Store will be open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7:20-7:35. However, we will only sell to 2 select grade levels each day (students only). Please see the schedule below to see when your grade level can shop at the store. We can’t wait to see you there!

Items for purchase range from .25 cents to $4.
