Book Fair This Week!
Create Your Child's eWallet

We encourage all parents to consider setting up an eWallet for their children. It's safer than carrying cash, especially for our younger students. No need to worry about misplaced money or loose change. Setting up an eWallet is quick and easy, and it ensures they have the funds they need to explore and expand their home libraries.

Thank you to all the volunteers!

Saturday's Jason Playground work day was a huge success!  We expanded the area and 50 cubic yards of mulch was distributed to help alleviate flooding and standing water.

Words from the Wraparound Specialist

What is integrity? Definition and meaning. Integrity means being honest and having strong moral principles. A person with integrity behaves ethically and does the right thing, even behind closed doors.

Having integrity means doing the right thing in a reliable way. It's a personality trait that we admire, since it means a person has a moral compass that doesn't waver. It literally means having "wholeness" of character, just as an integer is a "whole number" with no fractions.

If you want to show integrity at any level, not just in school, here are some ways to do this. Model a clear set of values. Responsibility, respect, fairness, trustworthiness, and honesty. Reward courage, hard work, determination and respect.

Leader in Me Family Survey

Hi Lovett Families!

Starting Monday, May 6, our school will be administering the Measurable Results Assessment (MRA) from Leader in Me. The MRA is a survey and reporting system designed to provide insights into the progress of our school. In order to provide a holistic picture of what is going on in our school, the MRA includes three different surveys; 1) one completed by all school staff, 2) one completed by students in 4th and 5th grade, and 3) one completed by the families of students in all grades.

FAMILY SURVEY INFO
WHAT: Online survey completed by one member of each household.
● Survey typically takes about 5 minutes to complete
● Questions relate to the experiences you and your child have at our school.
● Answers are anonymous--to encourage people to be honest and open, no names and other identifying information will be collected.
WHEN: The survey is available for you to take from May 6 -19.
HOW: The survey can be taken from any computer, smartphone, or tablet with internet access,
● Simply click on this link: https://www.leaderinme.com/s/lovett-elementary/families from May 6-19.

We hope you will participate in the family survey so we can use the feedback to make our school an even better place for students and families. If you have any questions about the surveys or wish to see a list of questions, please contact Katie White, Leader in Me Campus Coordinator, at katherine.white@houstonisd.org. Your participation is greatly appreciated!
